A day off???
Yup.
Not necessarily today, but when you need one, taking a day off can be very important!
Coming from me that may surprise you. I know that some of you think I'm Miss Super Productive (and maybe I am, but that's an argument for a different day) and I'll admit that taking a day off is HARD for me! But, I have learned that it's necessary sometimes.
When should you take a day off? Well, are you feeling burned out? Have you run out of ideas? Do you feel like you need a break? Well then give yourself a break!
We all need breaks sometimes. We all need to unwind and decompress. We all need to get some distance from our work.
So take some time to just relax. Put down your paint brush/knitting needles/whatever, step away from the computer, and do something else! Go for a jog, read a book, cook a fancy dinner, kiss your significant other. Recharge your creative energies :) Then...go back to work! :P

I know this is very important but very hard to do. It does help though and is very rejuvenating!
This ios very ironic. I posted in the FFEST forum this morning that I was in a rut. I may have to take this advice.
do..especially when you work at home...it's always there calling out "make me"...although, it is all too easy to take a day off from the papaerwork > or 20 :P
Recharging is so important. Often it is in our "off" times that new ideas are incubated.
A great tip! One we should all take now and then :)
I am pleased to know that every Wednesday afternoon I can get together with like minded friends for our Beading/Broads/Buddies/Divas (they can't decide-LOL). I look forward to it from the moment I leave.
My other favorite, totally decompresses are an impromptu trip w/hubs to the beach for a soak in the Gulf, and going to my secret place to hunt for seaglass and other sea-treasures.
Even God took a day off to rest. Great advice and one we too often ignore. Thanks for the reminder.
