I had a lot of fun at the Market on Saturday! I definitely have some things I want to work on with my display, but that's ok, I have all summer to keep getting better and better right?
Here's my Necklace Table
Earrings, Bracelets, and Everything else...
The above table is the one that I want to do the most work on. I am going to change up my earring display and I want to have something neater than just having things laid out on the table. Don't know exactly what I'm going to do for that part yet though!
Cute Doggy that visited us!
I got my face painted!
With a rose of course :)
Isn't she sweet?
Isn't that shirt screaming for a necklace? My mother in law bought it for me a couple of weeks ago and I have a necklace 2/3rds done for it. But I ran out of beads :P So I wasn't able to complete it in time for this week. Ah well, there will be future weeks!
Over all it was a good day. I didn't make a ton of direct sales, but I have two commissions and a repair I'm doing, so that's bringing a bunch more money in and over all makes for a good day!

Of course you got a rose. ;)
Your tables look good! Definitely keep taking pictures when you have the markets. :)
Looks like you had fun! Congrats :)
I like how your cheerful attitude shines through! Good luck in all you do!
Glad you had a good start to the season. All of life is a process, art fair booths are no exception. I add something new to mine each show. www.jewelrysupply.com has the best selection of display things if you want to go traditional. I'm thinking a pillow that goes under your knees that has a flat bottom would make a great bracelet ramp. Have fun creating!
I'm glad you had such a good day Ruthie, the venue looks great and the weather fantastic! Congrats on your commissions!! :)
So glad to hear the first week went well :)
I think we are always working on our display set-ups. I'm never happy with mine and always changing it. And the friend I've been sharing a booth with sells jewelry and is always changing thing too!
Looks like your weather was marvelous and your display looks nice. I don't think I've ever set up at a show the same way twice. You will eventually learn what works for you. I'll wish for beautiful weekends the rest of the summer for you!!
Looks like a great time! Like the others who have commented, I change my displays at every show, continually tweaking. I have found to that it's best to have some lying on the table. It's amazing how many people walk by and only look at what's laying flat and don't lift their eyes to look at the displays.
Looks great! This is the farmer's market next to Esther Shorr Park, isn't it? I'll have to come see you! Will you be there every week?
I use dishes sometimes for my displays--cake stands, with saucers and/or plates flat on the table. The vintage type look pretty with jewelry on them, especially the ones without too much pattern.
Glad you had a good start to your market season and can't wait to see how things progress during the summer! I like your display and cute rose face painting!
wow, you have multiple tables- awesome! one thing i like to do is use lifts and levels to draw people's attention around. another idea is to use trays of rice, lentils, etc to display the things lying flat- that adds another element of tactile interest.
luck and bounty be yours :D
I second mermaiden's post. I use bed risers to lift my tables up to easier viewing height. It's a pretty inexpensive means to improve your display, but it looks great to begin with. :o) I hope you'll enjoy the rest of the season!
the season has begun! woo hoo!! Have you checked out Crafster.org? they have a section in there with craft show displays...maybe you can get some ideas there too
