I'm participating in a swap called "Bead Soup" that's being hosted by Lori Anderson - and I'm really excited! Basically its a whole bunch of jewelry artist who all signed up, we each have a swap partner, and we're sending them some bead soup. What's in this bead soup? A focal, some components to go around it, and a clasp. The picture below is what I sent to my bead soup partner, and I can hardly wait to see what I'm getting! It was hard to part with anything though, I kept thinking of how I could turn this into a necklace on my own :P I bet she comes up with something fantastic!

Great idea. Even just swapping beads that we don't use anymore, that someone might find interesting to work with.
Great idea! I hope we get to see what she makes out of your beads and what you get and make with the ones you get!
Thanks for stopping by my blog tonight. I really like your beadweaving. I see that you also crochet. Have you tried bead crochet? That's what got me started on this whole jewelry path. You probably saw the pix at my site.
Enjoy the Soup Swap!
How fun that would be!!! What a great idea. I know you will have a great time figuring out what to do with what you receive. I hope you will share it here with us when it arrives!
looks like fun! I wonder what you'll get and what you will make....
sounds like a lot of fun. You have to show us what you receive!
Oooo! That is a pretty cool pile of stuff!
Love the focal!
And those seed beads look like a very interesting color on my monitor---more rust than red---or are they really red?
Anyway.
The whole swap thing sounds great!!!
Rose, hi.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Ooh. I'm so jealous. I thought about doing bead soup. It's a great idea. I love what you have selected. I don't know how you parted with the items. I can't wait to see what you get and what you do with it. Take care.
Oh, she is going to have fun with those beads!
I think it would be such a challenge to create a piece using only beads chosen by someone else! What a way to stir creativity.
GORGEOUS focal! wow I love those colors!
