Quiet Sunday...

It's a quiet Sunday for me. I don't really have anything I want to blog about (I know! Me?). I've just been trying to relax. I've had a rough weekend with lots of bad news about my dear friends going through hard times. So you know how I jokingly comment that crafting is my therapy? Well sometimes it's not so much of joke, sometime it really IS my therapy! That's what it's been this weekend. I love being able to turn on a movie or a tv show and just lose myself in creating something beautiful. I ignore my e-mail and all the chatty things, and just create. I don't do that very often... usually my computer and chatty things are constant interruptions...so this is special. I only really do this when I'm on a deadline and need to get things DONE or when I'm really emotional and need to process. It works though. I get a lot done and I feel very peaceful after awhile. I call it my zen crafting state.

I like that state--then it is interrupted by the sounds of little feet and yells for Momma!!

I like being in a zone too. Glad it has helped you through this difficult time.

That's excellent to be able to "go" where you need to be. I forget sometimes what keeps me calm when I'm at home. When I'm out - my knitting is always in my bag to help.

I hope things smooth out for everyone and that you can all be at peace. These last few weeks have been stressful for me, too. I think I need some more mindless projects to help with that, instead of trying to be creative when needing to zone out.

Hope your friends have better days ahead. It's amazing how therapeutic crafting can be.

I'm sorry you are going through so much!
But I'm glad you are able to find therapy in your crafts :)
