Mother's Are Awesome

I've mentioned this project in the forum threads recently, so I decided to blog about it as well!  You see, my Mom is just plain awesome.  Why? Because not only is she buying from me, but she's going to try and sell for me this week too!  Oh - and before I go on and explain that - my mother in law is awesome too - she bought a necklace from me this week!  You may remember my candy and lace necklace, well she's now the proud owner of it :)

My Mom is going on a mission trip to Nicaragua next month and decided she wanted to order some bracelets from me to give to the interpretors as gifts.  As we talked about it I asked her if she'd be willing to pitch the idea to some of the other people going on the team - and she was enthusiastic about it!  So, tonight, when she goes to her meeting, she'll be taking along the 10 bracelets pictured below to see if anyone wants to buy them :) I'm really excited! I'll let you know how it goes :)

Great idea. I'm sure they'll all love the bracelets, they're lovely.

That's a really good idea. Friends have said to me that I should organise a jewellery party and bring along a selection of necklaces. Then I could make them up to order. Trouble is my home is not large enough and I have thought that maybe I could host it at her house and give her a necklace for hosting it. (What do you think?) You should maybe do the same - because I think people like to handle jewellery before buying it. I'm sure you will sell plenty at your mum's meeting. Good luck with it - and let us know how it goes.

HealingStones - we're actually planning on doing something like that next month! I don't have my own place large enough to do a house party either - but my Mom does! I'm really looking forward to it :) And I think your idea of giving the host a necklace is perfect!
